Important Update:

April 15, 2016

To our dear customers and supporters of Active Learning,

Lilliworks is dedicated to providing quality Active Learning equipment per the high standards of Dr. Lilli Nielsen and her designs. We have strived to keep the prices at a minimum in order to be the most accessible to all. We minimize costs with all-volunteer management, and only part-time contractors for all office and shop work. The downside to this approach is that LilliWorks has effectively operated with 0% margin, spending every dollar earned, and often is in a cash flow shortage, delaying delivery, sometimes substantially. It does not serve the Active Learning community to have such delays, to have no funds to invest for inventory, nor margin for our shop to become more efficient.

LilliWorks has essentially not raised its prices in 8 years (since 2008), although our costs of materials and labor have steadily increased.  To keep LilliWorks open and to provide the revenue needed to deliver equipment within the organizational goal of 30 days, we are compelled to raise some equipment prices –the maximum increase is effectively 3.75% per year. HOPSA dresses and books will remain at their current prices.

The price adjustments will become effective May 1st, 2016.  Please check the price list on the website for current prices prior to ordering.

It is our honor and mission to keep serving the Active Learning community.  We appreciate your understanding and support.

Thank you,

Rand Wrobel-Executive Director, the LilliWorks Board of Directors, and staff
